The Story Behind AmanDagat.
AmanDagat began with a feeling we wanted to create — that moment when you arrive by the sea, slow down, and everything suddenly feels a little lighter.
The name brings together two ideas that capture that feeling. Aman speaks of peace, tranquillity and calm, while Dagat is the Filipino word for sea. Together, they became AmanDagat — peace by the sea.
But for us, it means more than a name.
We created AmanDagat Beach Resort as a place to step away from the everyday and simply have time again — time to talk, laugh, swim, share a meal, watch the day unfold, or do absolutely nothing at all.
A place with the privacy and space to be together without distraction, and the freedom to enjoy each day in your own way.
Because the moments we remember most are often the simplest ones — when we slow down enough to truly be present with the people we love, with nature, and with ourselves.
